If an apparent casting announcement for Joss Whedon’s ABC S.H.I.E.L.D. series is anything to go by, the new Marvel show will begin filming in January.
TVShowAuditions states that the S.H.I.E.L.D. casting directors are seeking series regulars, recurring roles and guest stars for filming to begin in mid-January and continue throughout the season.
Ming-Na Wen has already been announced to play S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Melinda May, with Clark Gregg reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson from the Marvel Studios movies.
As the release notes “guest stars,” could we be seeing some of the characters from The Avengers movie? Certainly Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury would make the most sense.
As S.H.I.E.L.D. does begin filming at the beginning of the year, it could be ready as soon as next Fall.
