Shia LaBeouf finally watched his own Transformers movies the way the rest of the world does — through a kid’s eyes — and it made him cry. Twice.
Michael Bay revealed the story in his TMZ interview, remembering Peter Cullen, saying LaBeouf called him about six months ago, the last time the two spoke.
“He called me, and this was a very nice call,” Bay said. LaBeouf had gone on the Transformers ride at Universal Studios with his daughter.
“He goes, ‘I finally saw our movies through my daughter’s eyes,’ and he said, ‘I cried,'” Bay recalled. “He cried twice.”
Per Bay, LaBeouf had never once told his daughter he was in the movies. She gravitated to the ride on her own.

Asked whether he’s concerned about what LaBeouf has been going through lately, Bay said he hasn’t checked in since that call.
“He’s a great guy and he’s a great actor,” Bay said. “I had an amazing time working with him, and I think he’s a very good person.”
Bay called the ride conversation “a great story.”
The Call Lands In The Middle Of The Return Rumors
LaBeouf last played Sam Witwicky in 2011’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Back in December, a fan at a convention asked LaBeouf if he’s coming back to the franchise, and the actor reportedly smiled and said, “I’m working on it.”
Bay, meanwhile, was rumored to have approached Paramount with a new franchise idea and was spotted scouting locations in Africa, with reports claiming one of three scripts under review involved his return.
What’s officially moving right now: Paramount confirmed more Transformers is coming at CinemaCon, and a movie from writer Jason Fuchs reportedly picks up Noah Diaz’s story from Rise of the Beasts. Bay’s next confirmed project is the Iran pilot rescue movie at Universal.
