Russell Crowe Squashes Krypton Man of Steel Rumor

Remember that earlier rumor – or more of a mix up – that stated Zod wants to bring back Kal-El To Krypton.

Which of course meant that Krypton sticks around in the Man of Steel?!

Well, like our DC Entertainment source told us, Russell Crowe now says that Krypton is no more as well.

Our DC source assured us that Krypton gets blown to smithereens, and Crowe offers the following on his Twitter:

ahem…as I was saying…my name is Jor El, of Krypton, as my planet dies I send 2 you my son, Kal. So he may live. He will arrive June 14

Perhaps the question remains: Just how does Krypton die…?

Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.
