Rumors For Star Wars: Episode VII Plot & John Boyega’s Character

A new batch of rumors surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII has hit the net possibly revealing plot details as well as the role that John Boyega will play.

According to the website Bad a– Digest, Star Wars: Episode VII starts off with a severed hand gripping a light saber floating through space.

The hand  is said to fall on a desert planet – stated not to be Tatooine – where it is discovered by the “heroes” of the movie,  Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. The two recognize it as being a Jedi relic and decide to return it to the proper people.

It’s said their quest takes them off-world where they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren’t flying the Millennium Falcon. Han and Chewy recognize the lightsaber as belonging to Luke Skywalker, their old friend who they haven’t seen in 30 years (i.e. since Return of the Jedi).

It’s then said they all go to find Luke, and meanwhile on an icy planet, a weapon more devastating than the Death Star is being built – one capable of destroying entire solar systems.

Regarding the character of John Boyega, it’s said he plays a Storm Trooper deserter that teams up with Daisy Ridley.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” has a December 18, 2015 release.

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by LawrenceKasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
