Robocop’s Peter Weller Joins The Star Trek Sequel (2013)

Peter Weller, the original Robocop, joins the cast of the JJ Abrams as-of-yet unnamed Star Trek sequel.

Weller’s role is not specified, but Deadline describes it as a “principal role.”

Recent Star Trek news also saw Abrams shoot down the rumor that Benicio Del Toro will be playing the role of Khan, responding with a rather direct, “Not true.”

Speaking of Robocop, the producer behind the reboot, Neal Moritz, is also remaking Starship Troopers.

The Star Trek sequel is due in theaters May 17th, 2013 in 3D.
