[page_title]

A promotional video for the new Robocop movie has surfaced online.

IMC Licensing posted a licensing/sizzle reel which featured new Robocop concept art as well as interviews with the creators and actors on the new movie.

Update: The studio requested that the art images be taken down.

If you were on the fence regarding the movie, check out the video below, it might just change your mind.

Among some of the highlights:

• Joel Kinnaman mentioning that there will be more than one Robocop suit, with the concept art revealing a silver design (right). “The first suit is very similar to the 1987 original Robocop,” Kinnaman said. (We’ve seen a black Robocop design and a new bulkier Robocop suit recently surfaced as well).

•Eric Newman, producer on Robocop, compares the movie to Call of Duty offering,There’s Call of Duty style shoot-outs with an army of these things [drones]. It’s going to be pretty spectacular.” Newman also describes Robocop as a one-man-team of Navy Seals.

• Director Jose Padilha seems to take a jab at Iron Man, or even Batman, as he says, “[Robocop] is not a guy who invented a suit that he can dress in and become all-powerful. This is a guy who became a robot against his will.”

See the video below for more. It’s pretty good.
