Review: Green Lantern Corps #23

[page_title]
I love all the new Lanterns we are seeing between this book and the main title. Van Jensen and co-plotter Robert Venditti are bringing some much-needed personality to the faces as well as shining the spotlight on familiar faces with new emphasis.

These old and new Lanterns are organically bringing back some of the character of John Stewart as he deals with both with exact military precision. This side of John’s character is what makes him stand apart from Earth’s other Lanterns : he was a hero before his ring chose him for an even higher purpose.

Lessons in the power of love, the levels of willpower and a major helping of Jruk keep this book moving as did the spectacular art of Bernard Chang. Clear lines and tight definition make this book one of the best on the shelves.

For those who haven’t seen the final pages, I will not spoil anything but boy! Longtime Lanternophiles will go nuts!

Great read.
