Review: Avenging Spider-Man #3

[page_title]

Wells and Madureira craft another all around exciting read with Avenging Spider-Man #3. It’s a fast paced thrill filled with panel after panel of gorgeous Madureira art.

Spidey and the Red Hulk have teamed up as a result of the kidnapping of J. Jonah Jameson, the mayor of NYC. A Molon army has taken control, capturing the Mole Man, and are bent on seizing the surface world for their very own.

No worries though as nothing above or below is as powerful as a rampaging Red Hulkster.

Guess again!

General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross has been put down by the blade of Ra’ktar leaving only everyone’s favorite web-head to rely on his wits and winning personality to save the world! However, just how the heck is he going to be able to do that when the Molons have weapons that can pierce the skin of a Hulk?!

This particular issue sees Spidey forced to go not only go one-on-one with Ra’ktar, but perhaps something far more sinister – J.J.! As Spider-Man has to somehow fend off the invading Molon army, fight off Ra’ktar and his King Blade, save the Rulk and just about everyone else – on top of that he has to deal with J.J.’s cynical and condescending attitude! I think I would rather take on the creatures of Subterranea!

Avenging Spider-Man has everything a comic requires: great art, action and excitement – and fun!
