Prime Video is doubling down on the Reacher universe.
The streamer renewed Reacher for Season 6 on September 28, and on October 1 the Neagley spinoff picked up a Season 2 order.
Both calls came fast. Reacher‘s fourth season finale and all eight episodes of Neagley dropped the same day, September 16, and about two weeks later both shows were locked in for more.
Season 6 Ordered With Season 5 Still Filming
The Reacher renewal is another early one. Season 5 is still shooting in Toronto, adapting Make Me, Lee Child’s 20th Reacher novel.
Season 4 pulled in 66 million viewers worldwide in its first 28 days, one of the five most watched seasons of any Prime Video original. The series overall has reached 200 million viewers.
“Alan Ritchson is Jack Reacher,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios, crediting the star’s performance with winning over audiences around the world.
Ritchson keeps stacking wins beyond the show. He just landed the lead in Sony’s Helldivers movie, now dated for summer 2028, on top of his first-look feature deal with Netflix.

Neagley Hits 40 Million Viewers
The spinoff earned its renewal just as fast.
Neagley reached 40 million viewers in its first 13 days, the fourth biggest series debut in Prime Video history. It also landed in the streamer’s all-time top 10 for original series seasons.
Maria Sten leads as Frances Neagley, with Ritchson guest starring as Jack Reacher. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton run the show.
Friedlander said audiences “have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,” and he singled out Sten’s performance.
Reacher is now Prime Video’s second longest running scripted series behind Bosch.
And the franchise now runs two shows deep.
