Pacific Rim Trailer Recut Featuring Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II Theme & Style

Below you can check out the very cool Pacific Rim trailer that was recut in the style of the classic Toho Godzilla movies.

The fan-made trailer currently has almost 300,000 views on YouTube and also features the music score for Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II by Akira Ifukube.

Pacific Rim opened huge Wednesday in Japan and China where the movie was the best performing Chinese movie ever for Warner Bros. taking in 70% of their box office with $9 million.

It’s being speculated that the excellent Chinese debut will lead to a Pacific Rim sequel.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more kaiju, either, as Legendary Pictures and Gareth Edwards are bringing Godzilla to the big screen in 2014.
