Oscars 2011: Anne Hathaway confirms Catwoman to Oprah Winfrey (The Dark Knight Rises)

Two instances we have heard Anne Hathaway's name come up, but not in direct relation to Catwoman – just her alter-ego Selina Kyle.

Now, Hathaway, in a post-Oscars interview with Oprah Winfrey, confirms the role of Catwoman while receiving news about hosting the 83rd Academy Awards.

Turns out, the actress was waiting on word from her agent on playing Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Her agent called to inform her of the news that she was wanted for hosting the Oscars, which Hathaway in her excitement, at first thought to be confirmation for the Catwoman role.

Hathaway tells Oprah as she is told the news in reagards to the Oscars, she blurts out, "I am Catwoman!" Finally, it hits her that this is Oscar-related.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christan Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane and Ane Hathaway as Selina Kyle.
