No Saoirse Ronan As Scarlet Witch For The Avengers 2

Back in May it came out that Joss Whedon is going to include the mutant brother/sister pair of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in The Avengers 2.

It was said that Whedon was modelling the character of Scarlet Witch on Saoirse Ronan, a 19-year-old Irish actress.

Well, Saoirse Ronan recently commented on being cast in The Avengers 2 as Scarlet Witch and says it isn’t so.

“That’s not happening, no!” she told iftn.ie. “I think that was just one of those little rumours floating about.”

We know from recent comments by Whedon that the current script does include Scarlet Witch, if not Saoirse Ronan, who Whedon may have had in mind while writing the character, then who?

The Avengers 2 assembles May 1, 2015 with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, the Guardians of the Galaxy movie on August 1, 2014 and Ant-Man on November 6, 2015..
