Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly In Final Talks With Marvel — Is It X-Men?

Millie Bobby Brown Reportedly In Final Talks With Marvel — Is It X-Men?

Stranger Things is over, and Millie Bobby Brown may have already found her next franchise.

Brown is reportedly in “final talks” with Marvel Studios for a major role in the MCU, according to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, who posted the claim Friday afternoon.

File it under rumor until a trade weighs in, as MyTimeToShineHello’s track record is hit-and-miss, and Friday’s post names neither the project nor the part.

But note the escalation: back in November, the same account claimed Brown was “being eyed to play an X-Men in the MCU reboot” and invited fans to guess the character. Eight months later, being eyed has apparently become final talks.

The Timing Writes Itself

The rumor also lands in a very loud week for the X-Men.

Kevin Feige just confirmed on stage in Shanghai that Jake Schreier’s X-Men movie arrives after Avengers: Secret Wars, and when the topic turned to Marvel’s women, the Marvel Studios boss pointed straight at the mutants — “some of my favorite female characters are in a group called the X-Men,” he said, adding that the group is arriving very soon.

A 22-year-old franchise headliner in final talks the same week Feige is out hyping the X-Men’s female characters? Connect those dots however you like.

Why Brown Makes Sense

Brown checks every box for Feige’s youth-focused reset.

She closed the book on Stranger Things at the end of last year, freeing her up for a long-term franchise commitment for the first time in a decade.

At 22, she’s squarely in the age range Marvel wants for its new mutants. And she comes pre-approved by the men running the next two Avengers movies: Joe and Anthony Russo directed Brown in Netflix’s The Electric State and flat-out said “Millie is on the list for every project.”

There’s also the Stranger Things pipeline. Brown’s co-star Sadie Sink already made the jump and shows up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31 amid all that Jean Grey speculation.

Brown herself has brushed up against Marvel before, famously rumored for Sprite in Eternals before that role went elsewhere.

Who Would She Play?

That’s the fun part: nobody knows, and the scooper’s own November post invited fans to guess.

Kitty Pryde and Rogue have led the Brown fan-casts for years, with the Jean Grey chatter complicated by the Sink of it all.

And with the Fox-era mutants assembling first, there’s always the possibility Marvel introduces its new blood in Secret Wars before Schreier’s reboot gets rolling. All of it stays speculation until an announcement or a trade report says otherwise.

Where Marvel’s X-Men Reboot Stands

Schreier (Thunderbolts*) directs, with Beef creator Lee Sung Jin writing alongside The Bear‘s Joanna Calo — the writer recently confirmed the X-Men are for everybody.

Feige has now put the movie after Secret Wars, making it a 2028 release at the earliest, with the Fox-era mutants hitting first in Avengers: Doomsday on December 18.

Obsession Star Inde Navarrette also confirmed she had a meeting with Schreier.

Meanwhile, the casting chatter keeps stacking up ahead of Comic-Con: Wagner Moura for Mister Sinister, Sabrina Carpenter for Emma Frost or Dazzler, Anya Taylor-Joy for Magik, and Dwayne Johnson for Apocalypse. Every name — Brown’s now included — goes into our running X-Men reboot casting rumor tracker.
