Today’s announcement that Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as Lex Luthor in Batman Vs. Superman may have taken the internet by storm almost as much as Ben Affleck being cast as Batman.
The casting announcement seemed to have come from out of left field as just about every fan had their favorite choice of actor to play Lex Luthor.
One of those fan-favorite actors happened to be Michael Rosenbaum, who of course played Lex Luthor in the Smallville series. Rosenbaum has also stated he was interested in the role and had fun campaigning for it as most recently he said he would play Lex Luthor in Batman Vs. Superman “in a f’n heart beat.”
Now Michael Rosenbaum has taken to his Twitter account to thank the fans and joke around with the news.
Maybe he meant Heisenberg.Hmm.But All joking aside who knew Heath Ledger had so much depth? And he was a genius.I wish Jesse & Zack the best

Maybe Snyder chose the wrong Jew. I’m having my Rabbi make a few calls. #dreidels #backintheday
