[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7120:]]Gotta love Michael Rooker.

The actor known for recently playing fan-favorite Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead has joined James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy movie, rumored to be playing an original with Yondu.

Rooker was recently spotted having dinner with Gunn featuring a new mowhawk hair-cut, which would fit in with the look of the character.

While attending the recent Vancounver Fan Expo, Michael Rooker is asked how he became involved with the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

He can’t say much, but what he does say is in typical Michael Rooker-fashion.

Check out the video:

“Did he say something?” Rooker asked to the question of being approached for the Guardians of the Galaxy. “Guardians of the Galaxy is a comic book series based on superhero-type guys that help protect humankind and all kinds of life that live out in the galaxies, and they kill bad guys and sh-t like that. Next question.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Star-Lord and Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer.
