With a new Star Wars movie on the horizon, Mel Brooks has stated he wants to do a Spaceballs sequel.

Spaceballs was the 1987 Star Wars spoof starring Brooks, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman and Daphne Zuniga.

Mel Brooks recently appeared on the Adam Corolla podcast, “Taking The Knee,” where he said he would like to start filming a new Spaceballs after the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

According to a user on Reddit who heard the show, Brooks also wants to use the original cast members, and while it’s not a done deal, Brooks is said he really wants it to happen.

Brooks also said the title to the sequel would be “Spaceballs: The Search For Money,” though it’s unclear if Brooks was joking or if that is the actual intended title.
