UPDATE: Reportedly, a 4k Avengers: Doomsday full version has leaked online.
Marvel Snap may have just tipped Avengers: Doomsday‘s hand.
A datamine of the game’s unreleased files surfaced a full Doomsday card set, tracked by the site SnapComplete and now spreading through Reddit’s Marvel spoiler board.
The set is lined up for Snap’s December season, timed to the movie’s December 18 release.
Marvel and Second Dinner haven’t confirmed any of it, and tie-in card names aren’t a plot synopsis. But some of these names sure read like hints.
Doom Witch Headlines The Card List
The datamined cards: Cyclops Doomsday, Doctor Doom Doomsday, Doom Witch, Doom Guard, Gambit & Shang-Chi Doomsday, Incursion Event, Invisible Woman & Namor Doomsday, John Walker Doomsday, Mister Fantastic & Beast Doomsday, Professor X Doomsday, and Yelena Belova Doomsday.
Doom Witch is noticeable as Marvel showed them off at Comic-Con.
Putting Doom’s name on a Witch points straight at Wanda Maximoff, and a Scarlet Witch return has been one of the longest-running Doomsday rumors going.
Elizabeth Olsen wasn’t in the cast chair reveal, and a card like this is exactly how a surprise leaks early.
The three duo cards do their own talking. Gambit paired with Shang-Chi, Sue Storm paired with Namor, and Reed Richards paired with Beast suggest who shares the screen with who.
And Incursion Event is sitting right there in card form, the universe-colliding phenomenon that sets up Secret Wars.
X-Mansion Ruins And The Last Of The Mutants
The datamine also includes two locations: Throne of Doom and X-Mansion Ruins.
That second one says plenty. The X-Men’s home doesn’t come through this movie in one piece.
The player titles push the same way: Last of the Mutants, Latverian Royalty, New Avenger, Not Feeling Fantastic, Out of this World, PhD in Doomology, Silicon Wizard, The Chosen One, Unmasked, World Ender, Doomed, and Back-to-Back are all in the files.
Last of the Mutants next to a ruined mansion sounds like a sendoff for the Fox-era X-Men.
Back-to-Back hits different if you’ve followed the rumors, with one claim putting Steve Rogers and Bucky against Doom two-on-one in the final battle.
Snap has run a tie-in season alongside every big MCU release, so expect Marvel to make this one official closer to the date.
Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters December 18.
