Marvel’s Comic-Con Hall H Panel To Be Massive: Doomsday Footage, Mystery Witches & 70+ Stars

Marvel’s Comic-Con Hall H Panel To Be Massive: Doomsday Footage, Mystery Witches & 70+ Stars

Update: The panel is underway and the first bombshell already hit: Ryan Gosling surprised Hall H as Marvel confirmed him as Ghost Rider, with Shawn Levy directing for 2028. Follow every announcement as it happens in our live Hall H coverage.

Update: Doom has arrived. Marvel swapped out the Latverian Witch display Saturday morning and replaced it with Robert Downey Jr.’s full Doctor Doom costume, hours before the panel. Check out our up-close look at the costume and its hidden details right here. The original article continues below.

Marvel Studios takes over Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT, and here is the complete list of what the studio has officially confirmed about the panel: special guests from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and “an exclusive look at what’s next.”

It’s Marvel’s first Hall H appearance since 2024, when the Russo brothers’ return and Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Doctor Doom blew the roof off the building.

The studio sat out 2025 entirely while Avengers: Doomsday filmed in London, so Saturday’s hour is carrying two years of saved-up firepower.

What’s Actually Confirmed

The panel itself. That’s it; however, there is lots of speculation. More on that below.

Everything right now is expectation, and the expectation is obvious: Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, and Marvel already dropped the official trailer online Monday rather than saving it for the room.

The trailer turned out to be the CinemaCon cut, which is exactly why newer footage is expected Saturday, likely with a big chunk of the cast on stage.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day also opens July 31, six days after the panel. Marvel isn’t letting its biggest opening of the year walk past Hall H without a moment. Spidey is rumored to be there Saturday.

The Booth Is Already Doing The Talking

While the panel stays quiet, Marvel’s booth (#2329) on the convention floor is loud.

Doomsday costumes are on display for Cyclops, Invisible Woman, Thor with Stormbreaker, Sam Wilson’s Captain America with the vibranium shield, Yelena Belova, and Gambit, complete with Channing Tatum’s prop weapon.

The Marvel merch is also packed with fans wanting to buy related products including Doctor Doom and more.

Three Latverian Witches Have Fans Buzzing

The real mystery of the weekend is a costume Marvel labeled only “Latverian Witch.”

On preview night it was green. On Thursday it was orange, and booth employees confirmed to press on the floor that the swap wasn’t the lighting. On Friday a purple version appeared.

Three different colored witches in three days.

Doctor Doom has no coven of witches in the comics, so the color rotation reads deliberate.

The leading fan theory is that the three witches are disguised variants of familiar MCU magic users, with Scarlet Witch, Clea (purple is her comic color), and Sylvie the popular guesses.

Others think Doom has simply recruited or enslaved a trio of new followers.

All of it is speculation for now, but Marvel clearly wants the guessing game running right up until Saturday night. And on Saturday morning, the witch’s run ended: Doom himself took her place at the booth.

Denzel Washington And The Guest List

Denzel Washington is confirmed for Black Panther 3.

Washington first said it himself back in November 2024, and Ryan Coogler confirmed it on the record, calling Denzel “family” and saying he has been trying to work with him since day one.

Fan posts and same-day reports are claiming Washington has been spotted in San Diego ahead of the panel, and the long-running chatter that his Marvel future extends to Magneto in the X-Men reboot.

Denzel has been floated for the master of magnetism going back years, alongside newer names like Adam Driver. None of that is confirmed.

Sadie Sink is also expected in some form with Brand New Day opening within the week. Her role remains officially under wraps, with the Jean Grey rumors refusing to die. According to reports, Sink has also been spotted in San Diego along with Michael Mando who plays Scorpion.

Social media claims also report a “packed” panel with 70-plus actors in the building.

When To Watch
