Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel has wrapped at San Diego Comic-Con. Below is the complete rundown of every announcement, reveal, and surprise from the night, newest first.

Update: Deadpool crashed the panel. Ryan Reynolds popped up in the crowd in a never-before-seen gray Deadpool suit, introduced himself as “Ricky,” asked Paul Rudd why Thor was crying, and begged for an Avengers: Doomsday role before RDJ shut him down and Deadpool stormed out. Update: That’s a wrap. The panel closed with a brand new Avengers: Doomsday trailer shown exclusively to the room, and it reportedly rocked the building: Sue Storm laying out just how broken Victor Von Doom is, Reed demanding “Did you do this?”, Doom stopping Thor’s Stormbreaker attack effortlessly, and Doom raising an army of Sentinels against the combined Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Marvel also flipped Hall H’s geography entirely, per THR’s Borys Kit, putting X-Men and Thunderbolts actors on stages in the back of the hall, who then walked through the entire crowd to the front, high-fiving fans the whole way. David Jonsson closed the night on his Black Panther casting: “The honour is entirely mine.”
Update: ALL Avengers: Doomsday tickets are now on sale. Marvel opened general ticket sales for every format alongside a brand new Doctor Doom poster declaring “12.18.26 IS DOOMSDAY,” with Doom’s suit matching the costume from the Marvel booth right down to the fabric band on his arm. Update: DAVID JONSSON IS BLACK PANTHER. Marvel dropped the bombshell with Letitia Wright and Winston Duke on stage, revealing the Industry and Alien: Romulus breakout as the new Black Panther and dating Black Panther 3 for December 15, 2028. Deadline has since confirmed which Black Panther: Jonsson is playing Toussaint, aka T’Challa II, the grown son of T’Challa introduced in Wakanda Forever’s post-credits scene, coming of age with eyes on the crown. That gives Marvel December three years running: Doomsday in 2026, Secret Wars in 2027, and now Black Panther 3 in 2028. Full details on the reveal right here.
Update: Doom himself has taken the stage. Robert Downey Jr. is out and encouraging the audience of 7,000 masked fans to “join the family of Doom.” And there’s a casting reveal with him: Hayley Atwell is here and returning as Peggy Carter, per Total Film. Captain Carter’s fate in the Multiverse Saga just got a lot more interesting.
Update: Spider-Man got his moment. Jon Bernthal took the stage right after the Ghost Rider reveal to remind everyone Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in six days, debuting an exclusive clip of Spidey and the Punisher fighting the Hulk, with Smart Hulk described as beginning to turn savage. Update: IT’S OFFICIAL: RYAN GOSLING IS GHOST RIDER. Gosling surprised Hall H in person as Marvel confirmed the casting, with Shawn Levy directing and a 2028 release. Update: VisionQuest is locked for October 14 on Disney+. Kevin Feige confirmed the date on stage, putting Paul Bettany’s White Vision series in theaters’ rearview just two months before Doomsday. It’s the first piece of Marvel’s fall release calendar to firm up tonight alongside the Endgame re-release.
Update: Kevin Feige made the Avengers: Endgame theatrical re-release official on stage: September 25. Feige said the point is reminding everyone what it was like to be in that theater together cheering along. The timing puts Marvel’s $2.799 billion giant back on the big screen less than three months before Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18.
Update: H.E.R.B.I.E. has rolled out on stage. The Fantastic Four’s robot made his entrance to open Marvel’s portion of the evening, per video from Variety.
Update: The atmosphere inside is electric. Marvel handed out Doctor Doom masks and green cloaks to a reported 7,000 fans, per THR’s Borys Kit, turning the entire hall into a sea of Dooms. It’s the same play as the costume reveal: Doom’s full suit hit the Marvel booth this morning, and now everyone in the room is wearing his face.
Update: A motorcycle has reportedly been carted into the back of the convention center for the panel, with engine revving heard backstage, per Erik Voss. That’s throwing gasoline on Saturday’s report that Ryan Gosling has been cast as Ghost Rider. Nothing confirmed yet.
What We Were Watching For
Marvel came into tonight having confirmed nothing beyond the panel itself, but the expectations were enormous: new Avengers: Doomsday footage beyond the CinemaCon cut, the Doomsday cast on stage, a Spider-Man: Brand New Day moment with the movie opening in six days, an answer to the three Latverian Witches mystery from the Marvel booth, and whatever Denzel Washington’s reported presence in San Diego turned out to mean for Black Panther 3.
The night wasn’t smooth for everyone: fans with first-seating wristbands were turned away as Hall H hit capacity, with Film Threat calling it a full-on line revolt. Comic-Con has since responded without an apology, and fans are disputing its version of events. The organization is now even floating the end of Hall H itself.
