Marvel Brings Back Nova Prime Richard Rider With New Guardians of the Galaxy Look?

Well lookie what we have here.

First we get new Darhawk covers and now this.

Marvel is launching all new variant covers to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of The Avengers and they are doing so by featuring all the Avengers that ever were.

First up is the following Daniel Acuna Avengers #3 variant cover where we see — Nova?!

It looks to be Nova Prime Richard Rider with a new slightly new costume as we see a bunch of added power ports. 

Interestingly enough, as seen in the new Bendis Guardians of the Galaxy cover below — they all sport a similar design.

Could Marvel be bringing back Richard Rider?

Or is the design simply a mistake as Marvel has been known to do with Nova and it’s really the Kid Nova, Sam Alexander?
