Marvel Announces Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series At Comic-Con

With the Guardians of the Galaxy opening in less than a week, Marvel has announced a new animated series today at Comic-Con.

Marvel showed off a 1-minute sneak peek featuring Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon test footage, and then announced an animated series is coming soon.

A Guardians of the Galaxy animated series has been rumored for some time, with the characters appearing in the previously cancelled highly popular series The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The Guardians also appeared in episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie blasts off August 1st.
