The Man of Steel Christopher Reeve Easter Egg?

Some time ago it was said the Man of Steel was going to feature a Christopher Reeve Easter Egg.

A reported set image/video seemed to reveal that as Henry Cavill was biking his way to the Daily Planet he would pass by a man in a suit and briefcase.

Well, the man looked like Clark Kent/Christopher Reeve from Superman III.

Apparently, that scene never made its way into the movie, as the bike scene that was shown in the Man of Steel was really short (I looked for it).

However, if you recall, when Superman was flying up through the World Engine’s Gravity Beam in Man of Steel, it seemed as if we saw a glimpse of Christopher Reeve.

I remember thinking to myself the same, and now someone has posted an animaged GIF of the shot online.
