Jeremy Irons Talks Alfred In Batman Vs. Superman

Zack Snyder has cast Jeremy Irons as the new Alfred for Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne in Batman Vs. Superman.

While attending the Marrakech international film festival to receive a career tribute, the actor made some comments about Batman’s butler.

THR noted Alfed couldn’t say much, but did offer that his Alfred is “not a large role” in the movie due to the amount of characters in Batman Vs. Superman and added,  “He is quite a different Alfred than we have seen so far. Zack Snyder had very clear views about what he wanted. I would just say he’s more hands-on perhaps than just a butler.”

Irons was previously spotted in Michigan to film his parts for Batman Vs. Superman back in October.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
