Add pop star to Jennifer Lawrence‘s ever growing list of credentials.

The Oscar-winning actress’s recording of “The Hanging Tree” has landed at no. 2 on iTunes, no. 14 on the UK singles chart and is currently no. 12 on the Australian top 50 singles chart.

“The Hanging Tree” appears on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 written by the author of The Hunger Games novels, Suzanne Collins, and The Lumineers‘ Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz, with the performance by James Newton (via Billboard).
