[[wysiwyg_imageupload:4752:]]Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston is one of the names up for contention to play Peter Quill, Star-Lord, in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Huston was one of a handful of actors said to be up for the part, and now we get confirmation that Huston tried out.
In the following video, Huston says that there was an audition and that he would love to play Star-Lord.
“I would love to do it,” he told MTV. “I tell you, these bones are strong. If you need a guardian to look after this galaxy, look no further.”
From the list of names it appears as if Marvel Studios is going for a more up-and-coming and young actor for the part of Peter Quill; however, the fan-favorite is Nathan Fillion, who is known to have been featured in director James Gunn‘s previous movies.
If Fillion doesn’t get the role, perhaps his friend James Gunn could still give him a cameo?
We would all like that.
No plot details for the movie have become known other than a short description which reads: About a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.
The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release date and is directed by James Gunn.
