How Epic Will The Avengers Movie Be? How About 2.5 Hours Worth?!

I think the new trailer for The Avengers sealed the deal.

The movie is going to be epic!

However, one concern, at least for me is, just how long is the movie going to be?

As we saw with the Green Lantern movie, the run time was just shy of two hours (including credits, I think), which didn’t seem nowhere near remotely enough. I actually thought the movie was terrible, to be honest, as I came in expecting Lord of the Rings in space. Well, coupled with a bad acting job by Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, in addition to a poor editing job by Director Martin Cambell – we got an epic failure!

When the cast of Assemblers for The Avengers became known, including all the aliens and rumored Easter Eggs, the alarm bells started sounding once again!

However, my fears may be unfounded as a movie theater chain in the UK has posted (below image) what may be the length of The Avengers movie – 150 minutes!

That’s 2 and a half hours, folks!

Bear in mind the info is “to be confirmed,” but still promising nonetheless.

The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
