A new movie poster for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug as well as a new image have landed online.

The image of the dwarves in the river is described as a piece of promotional art for packaging and such.

With the new movie poster we see Bilbo, played by Martin Freeman, in the reflection of the dragon eye of Smaug.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens December 13, 2013 directed by Peter Jackson also starring Ian McKellan, Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Richard Armitage, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Smaug as well as the Necromancer.
