Here is a high-res image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.

The image premiered last week in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, with this high quality pic coming from the OneRing.net.

The official trailer also hits Thursday with the premiere of The Aventures of TinTin. Once it becomes available for online use, we’ll be sure to post.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14th, 2012 with the sequel, The Hobbit: There And Back, a year later on December 13th, 2013. 

Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey with Martin Freeman playing Bilbo Baggins.  

Also reprising their roles from “The Lord of the Rings” movies are: Cate Blanchett as Galadriel; Orlando Bloom as Legolas; Ian Holm as the elder Bilbo; Christopher Lee as Saruman; Hugo Weaving as Elrond; Elijah Wood as Frodo; and Andy Serkis as Gollum.
