Henry Cavill has moved on to his next movie.
Set photos out of Glen Ridge, New Jersey show Cavill filming Netflix’s spy action-comedy alongside Kevin Hart. Cameras rolled outside a private home in the borough on the morning of September 9.
Montclair Local reports the scene had Hart checking a phone and showing the screen to Cavill, who sat on a motorcycle in an all-black jacket and jeans.
Hart wore a Joy Division t-shirt, plaid pajama pants, and slides with socks. A lime-green Porsche belonging to his character was parked nearby.
‘The Serpent and the Snake’
Netflix still officially calls the film untitled. The set chairs say something else.
Per Montclair Local, chairs on the Glen Ridge set carried the name “The Serpent and the Snake” along with a graphic of two spies with guns drawn.
The production had been tracked under the working title Spy Duo, so the chair backs are either a first look at the real title or another code name. Netflix hasn’t said which.
Rival Spies In A Lamaze Class
McG (Charlie’s Angels) directs the film, which stars Hart and Cavill as rival spies who cross paths in a Lamaze class after their wives become friends.
Per Netflix, the two spies’ double lives “collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways,” forcing them to partner up on the road to fatherhood.
Justine Lupe (Succession), Aja Naomi King (Lessons in Chemistry), and Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus) joined the cast in August.
The script comes from Bob’s Burgers writers Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux, Masters of the Universe directors Adam and Aaron Nee, and Jonathan Tropper, based on a short story by Sean Lewis.
Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps, Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, and Hart’s Hartbeat produce. The shoot runs through November.

Done With Highlander
The New Jersey shoot confirms Cavill has finished filming Highlander.
Chad Stahelski’s reboot started production in January and filmed across the UK, Poland, and Hong Kong, with Cavill as Connor MacLeod opposite Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Marisa Abela.
Crowe said back in June that he had finished shooting his scenes. Amazon MGM hasn’t set a release date.
The spy genre is nothing new for either star. Cavill did The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible — Fallout, and Argylle. Hart starred with Dwayne Johnson in Central Intelligence and led Netflix’s Lift.
Hart’s last Netflix movie, 72 Hours, also filmed in New Jersey and opened at No. 1 on the streamer.
CBN insiders have pointed to Cavill’s schedule when it comes to his possible DC return as Superman. The Netflix film keeps him busy through November. What he lines up after that is the thing to watch.
