Right on schedule.
As I reported from the show floor on Thursday, a Hasbro rep told me the company had a big reveal coming at Friday’s Star Wars panel, and Hasbro delivered with a slate covering the Original Trilogy, the prequels, Clone Wars, The Mandalorian and Grogu, and Maul: Shadow Lord.
It also lines up with exactly what the rep told me about Lucasfilm going big with the Original Trilogy and Clone Wars for the 50th anniversary. More on that below.
Battle of Geonosis hits The Vintage Collection
The Battle of Geonosis display I checked out at the booth turns out to be a full Vintage Collection wave, with Hasbro announcing Padawan Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padmé Amidala in her Geonosis whites, the Super Battle Droid, and a B1 Battle Droid Commander.
Luke’s Red Five X-wing arrives ahead of the 50th
The Vintage Collection is also getting Luke Skywalker’s Red Five X-wing, complete with Luke in his pilot gear and R2-D2, celebrating the Death Star run from the original 1977 movie.
The set is done up in the classic Kenner colors, runs $139.99, and goes up for pre-order August 20 at 1pm ET on Hasbro Pulse ahead of a Fall 2026 release.
With Lucasfilm going big on the OT for the 50th anniversary, expect a lot more where this came from.
Clone Wars gets the Black Series treatment
On the Black Series side, Clone Wars fans are eating: Imperial Super Commando Gar Saxon, Nightsister matriarch Mother Talzin, and an Ahsoka Tano and ARC Trooper Jesse two-pack pulled from the series finale.
The roleplay line expands as well with an electronic Clone Commander Jesse helmet, an electronic Captain Enoch Night Trooper helmet from Ahsoka, and an FX electronic Thermal Detonator like the one Leia used in her Boushh disguise.
The Mandalorian and Grogu figures, including Rotta the Hutt
From The Mandalorian and Grogu, bounty hunter Embo and his anooba Keibu make their Black Series debut, while a battle axe-wielding Rotta the Hutt comes to both the Black Series and The Vintage Collection for the first time.
The Vintage Collection also adds the INT-4 Interceptor with an Imperial Warlord figure, and the Black Series gets an Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver and AT-RT featuring a snowy rock diorama piece and snow splatter deco pulled from the movie’s opening scenes.
Maul: Shadow Lord joins the Black Series
Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord characters hit the Black Series this fall as well, with Mandalorian Super Commando Kebris, Nightbrother Icarus, and Inquisitor Marrok, yes, the mystery Inquisitor from Ahsoka.
Between this slate and everything the Hasbro rep told me this week, from Ryan Gosling and Starfighter to the 50th anniversary plans, collectors are in for a big year. Images via Hasbro and StarWars.com.
