HBO’s Harry Potter series won’t just be on HBO Max.
We’re told it’s coming to Paramount+ as well.
The word comes from our Paramount insiders, the same sources who told us David Ellison is not canceling the series.
The merger is just days from closing, which puts HBO Max and Paramount+ under one roof ahead of the Christmas Day premiere.

An Extra 80 Million Potential Viewers
How the show lands on Paramount+ hasn’t been locked down yet, but the insider laid out the options.
“Plus they’re spending BIG on marketing. And don’t forget it’ll now be available on Paramount+ as well, that’s an extra 80 million potential viewers. Either first 2 episodes free or a special combined subscription or coupons or something,” the insider tells us.
In plain terms, Paramount+ subscribers would get a way into the show without signing up for HBO Max, whether that ends up being free episodes, a bundle deal, or promo offers.
That takes the company’s biggest new show and puts it in front of both audiences at once.

Their New Game Of Thrones
Inside the company, the confidence is sky high.
“Honestly it won’t fail. From what I’ve heard everybody loves it internally. They’re very confident it will be a massive hit,” says the insider.
The insider went further: “Ratings will be massive… but this is their new Game of Thrones. They’re very very confident.”
All of this comes with the show still catching heat over Paapa Essiedu’s Snape casting, and it hasn’t changed the plan.
HBO built Game of Thrones into the biggest show on television. The new regime believes Harry Potter is next.
