Earlier it was rumored that Warner Bros. had green lit a Justice League Dark movie from Guillermo Del Toro called “Heaven Sent.”

However, some confusion arose when another website apparently misquoted Del Toro and tweeted the wrong information.

Guillermo Del Toro picked up on an article from Cosmic Book News on his forums and cleared up the confusion in that he was talking about not doing a Justice League movie, but stated he still would love to do a Justice League Dark type movie.

Now, Del Toro has been asked again about “Heaven Sent.”

MTV Geek asked the Pacific Rim director if there was any truth to the potential “Justice League Dark” movie, with Guillermo Del Toro responding as follows:

When somebody asked me about “Justice League”…I’m not involved in “Justice League.” I am discussing…I’ve been discussing with the fans and I’ve been very, very open about how much “Swamp Thing” was key when I was a kid. Comics in Mexico came on the first two days of the week. Around Tuesday and Wednesday I would go to the newsstand on my bicycle and I would get “Swamp Thing” every time it was available and I loved Jack Kirby’s “Demon”. I love Constantine and all that. You know, I’ve been pursuing doing something with them for many, many years. Hopefully it’ll come to pass. But we are still just discussing.

As Del Toro states, he has been pursuing doing something with Warner Bros. for a long time, including Swamp Thing, with previous mention that it’s up to the studio. The rumor surrounding “Heavent Sent” stated that since Warner Bros. was so happy with Pacific Rim, they were going forth with the Justice League Dark type of movie.

In a recent interview about Pacific Rim, Guillermo Del Toro revealed that he wouldn’t be doing a sequel for the epic robot monster movie next, but instead wanted to focus on doing a movie in a different genre and one not as big.
