All along the producers of CW’s new hit DC Comics series, Arrow, have been stating no super powers; that they want to keep the show “real.”
Well, that is not going to stop Green Lantern writers Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti, executive producers on Arrow, from including at least a nod to the movie.
Ferris Air is set to appear; the same from the Green Lantern movie including even down to the logo.
Arrow writer Ben Sokolowski pitched the idea as Green Lantern and Green Arrow do have a history in the comic books having team up numerous times.
Guggenheim and Berlanti liked the idea as well.
“If all goes according to plan, when you see the Ferris Air logo later in the season, it will be the same logo that we established in the movie. I like tips of the hat,” Guggenheim told TV Guide.
And for the first time we hear that they are considering the idea of including a hero with super powers as they don’t rule out Hal Jordan — and Ryan Reynolds.
“I would never say never. It’s certainly something that we’ve talked about.
“As with all DC characters, we have to figure out a way for those characters to fit within our Arrow universe. But when you consider the importance that Hal Jordan plays in the Green Arrow comics, it’s certainly one of those names that we’ve discussed a great deal. I have Ryan Reynolds’ phone number around here somewhere,” Guggenheim said.
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET on the CW.
