Toho is bringing Godzilla Minus Zero to New York Comic Con, putting the movie that marches Godzilla on Manhattan inside the Javits Center less than four weeks before it opens.
The Godzilla Minus Zero Panel at NYCC runs Saturday, October 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM ET in Room 405. Producer Kazuaki Kishida leads the panel with three members of the Godzilla Minus One crew: VFX artist Tatsuji Nojima, sound designer Natsuko Inoue and sound mixer Hisafumi Takeuchi.
Toho announced the panel on Godzilla.com and the official Godzilla social accounts, promising new updates on the film and a behind-the-scenes look at how it was made.
Takashi Yamazaki, back as director, screenwriter and VFX lead, is not on the panel.

Four Minus One Veterans, No Yamazaki
Every name on the panel comes from Godzilla Minus One, the film that won Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards, the first Japanese movie to take the category, on a fraction of a Hollywood VFX budget.
Kishida has produced four Yamazaki films going back to The Great War of Archimedes in 2019, including Ghostbook Obakezukan, Minus One and now Minus Zero. He won the 43rd Fujimoto Award, Japan’s prize for film producers, for Minus One.
Nojima is the best story on the list. He joined Shirogumi as a compositor in 2019, and the liquid and explosion simulations he was building as a hobby caught Yamazaki’s eye. That got him effects work on Godzilla the Ride and Ghostbook, and on Minus One he ran the large-scale ocean simulations, the water under the minesweeper chase and the Sagami Bay finale.
Inoue is a sound designer and Foley artist with Playful Sound and a member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors. She won Best Sound at the 17th Asian Film Awards for Minus One and picked up an MPSE Golden Reel nomination. Her recent credits include Missing, Never After Dark and Netflix’s The Human Vapor.
Takeuchi handled production sound on Minus One and Ghostbook for Yamazaki and mixes post-production sound as well. Minus One won him the 47th Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Sound Recording, plus a Golden Reel nomination and honors from the Motion Picture and Television Engineering Society of Japan and the country’s sound recordists association.
Room 405 Runs Godzilla, Jim Lee And Spider-Man Back To Back
The slot puts Godzilla at the front of the busiest room on the busiest day of the show.
When ReedPop released the first wave of programming, Room 405 already had DC’s Jim Lee & Friends at 2:00 PM Saturday, Marvel Comics: The Spider-Web at 3:30 PM with the Spider-Man announcement Marvel says will turn Peter Parker’s world upside down, and Marvel Comics: House of Ideas at 5:00 PM. Godzilla now opens that run at 12:30.
Saturday badges were already sold out when that schedule dropped, so anyone planning to line up for this one needs a badge they already own.
It is also a bigger theatrical get than the first wave managed, which opened with Violent Night 2, Whalefall and a Crystal Lake screening and nothing from Marvel Studios or DC Studios.
Toho is at the Javits twice that week. Film producer and executive officer Taichi Ueda speaks at Crunchyroll’s Anime Future Forum on Wednesday, October 7, the pro day before NYCC opens its 20th anniversary show October 8 through 11.
Godzilla Reaches New York November 6
The New York booking fits the movie. Godzilla Minus Zero picks up two years after Minus One with the survivors of the first film, and the CinemaCon footage ended with Godzilla bearing down on the Statue of Liberty. The teaser trailer that followed in April made the destination official.
Toho revealed the sequel on Godzilla Day last year, stylized as Godzilla -0.0, and later set the dates: Japan on November 3, then North American theaters through GKIDS on November 6.
Legendary’s Godzilla X Kong: Supernova follows about four months later on March 26, 2027.
