Gina Carano Says Wonder Woman Is The Ultimate Superhero

Gina Carano has been a long time fan favorite to play Wonder Woman, and now the actress shares her thoughts about the Amazonian princess.

Carano, who was just announced to be the lead in the Rob Liefield Avengelyne movie, describes Wonder Woman as the ultimate superhero.

“Which is such an incredible compliment,” Caranao responded when ComingSoon brought up the fact that she is a popular name attached to play Wonder Woman. “That’s the ultimate superhero for a woman. No matter what, no matter who ends up being Wonder Woman someday, I just hope it’s something that is done correctly. I know it’s there and that it could definitely be done correctly. It’s just a matter of getting the right people and having the right vision come together. A director and producer and writer have to see the beauty in it and make it real.”

The MMA superstar turned actress has seen a steady increase of roles come her way as she recently starred in Fast and Furious 6 with Dwayne Johnson, is said to be featured in the female Expendables movie, and has In The Blood coming out this year.

Regarding Wonder Woman, Man of Steel and Batman/Superman writer David Goyer recently stated he would like to do a film about the superheroine.

It’s likely that Warner Bros. is building to a Justice League movie, so Wonder Woman might eventually make her way on to the big screen, possibly as a cameo in the Batman/Superman movie or The Flash rumored film.
