George Lucas Won’t Watch The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer

With just about everybody on the planet glued to their chairs the Friday the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was released, guess who wasn’t interested in watching it?

Star Wars creator George Lucas.

Lucas sold Star Wars and LucasFilm to Disney for the hefty sum of $4 billion and has remained on board as a creative consultant; however, it is learned that George Lucas knows nothing about the trailer.

“I don’t know anything about it. I haven’t seen it yet,” Lucas told Page Six.

Lucas continues with mention of why he hasn’t seen the Force Awakens trailer.

“Because it’s not in the movie theaters,” Lucas explained. “I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there. I plan to see it when it’s released.”

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has a December 18, 2015 release directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.
