UPDATE: The same source now says Wonder Woman is one piece of it: Paramount-WBD is bringing back “women pictures” â real vehicles for A-list actresses in their 40s-60s, with specs already selling.
On August 21, our source told us to keep an eye on Gal Gadot and her schedule, with a Wonder Woman 3 possibly moving under the incoming regime before Henry Cavill is free for his own DC return as Superman.
Gadot just told everyone what the condition is.
Wrapping up an interview for The Runner, Jay Saint G from NerdCageLIVE and JoBlo went for it, noting there are “a lot of weird things going on with DC, Paramount, Warner Brothers,” and asked: if Zack Snyder came back to do Justice League 2 and 3, and maybe another Wonder Woman, since there’s unfinished business, would she absolutely come back as Wonder Woman?
“If Zack comes back to run DC, I’ll come back,” she said.
She Said “Run DC,” Not “Direct A Movie”
Read the answer against the question.
JoBlo asked about Snyder coming back to direct Justice League sequels. Gadot raised it: “If Zack comes back to run DC.”
That’s not a hypothetical she made up on the spot. It’s the scenario our reporting has been laying out since July.
As we reported this week, James Gunn’s DC Studios contract expires in 2027, after Man of Tomorrow, with no new extension in place.
Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, the executives set to run the studio under Paramount, are already taking pitches.
Snyder has been back on the Warner Bros. lot as their guest, our insiders say he is “well prepared” for a Dark Knight film, and asked about the rumors this week, Snyder himself said “the rumors work.”
Now the Wonder Woman from his universe says she’s in the moment he’s in charge.

Two Days Ago It Was “Not Sure”
Put this next to what she told Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused, the interview that every site ran as her Wonder Woman goodbye except for us.
There, asked what excites her career-wise, Gadot said that “for example, another Wonder Woman, I’m not sure I would at this point in my life, with four children,” because a franchise checkout for months “doesn’t work with my life anymore at this point.”
We said that was a calendar problem, not a retirement, and that the door was open.
Now we know what opens it. Four kids and different schools become workable the moment the name Zack is attached.
It also completes the other thing she told Horowitz.
Nobody at DC ever ended her Wonder Woman, she said. Gunn and Safran “told me the opposite” and then went silent, and she read her fate in how Henry Cavill and Patty Jenkins were handled.
Three years of nothing under the current regime. One sentence for the next one.

Gal Gadot Just Put Herself On Snyderâs Timeline
Our earlier reporting said a Snyder-led return would feature Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
The August 21 source put Gadot on that calendar first: “She might do WW 3 before Cavill is available for JL or Super.”
Gadot is now the first member of that lineup to say yes on the record.
The same insiders told us Ellison is going all in on Batman, that Paramount wants The Dark Knight Returns because “they can’t take another reboot,” and that Gunn’s deal runs out in 2027.
That’s the sentence our reporting has been building toward, and it came from the actress herself.
And the timeline is set.
Gunn’s contract runs out in 2027. The Paramount-WBD merger closes once the court fight ends, with a verdict as late as June 2027 unless the two sides settle sooner.
De Luca and Abdy are taking pitches now. Snyder is prepared. Gadot just put herself on that schedule, out loud, with one name attached.
Snyder keeps posting her. Now she’s answered.
A few days ago the question was whether Gal Gadot would ever wear the boots again. She just told you when: the day Zack Snyder is back running DC.
