Full Iron Man 3 Mandarin Poster Hints At Captain America Helmet Easter Egg

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5801:]]Late last night Marvel Studios released a new Iron Man 3 movie poster featuring Ben Kingsley as the film’s villain, the Mandarin.

The full poster is available inside the latest issue of Empire Magazine, and it’s also been released online as well (see below).

The full picture reveals the Mandarin stepping on Iron Man’s helmet — but something else as well.

To our right of the Mandarin we see what looks to be Captain America’s helmet.

Now it’s been said that no other Avengers are appearing in Iron Man 3, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be named.

Perhaps there is a history of some sort with the Mandarin and Cap, or more than likely, it’s a symbol of the Mandarin’s political motivations.

Still, it’s a cool nod.

However, there may be one more possible Captain America connection in Iron Man 3 — and that’s with the Iron Patriot armor. It’s been rumored that James “War Machine” Rhodes dons the Iron Patriot armor as a homage to Captain America.

How it all plays out we’ll have to wait and see.

Update: Helmet actually looks more like a United Nations helmet.

Update #2: Sure looks like Cap’s (thanks to Elizabeth below in the comments):
