Marvel has teamed up with T-mobile to offer a free digital download of the Avengers: Threat Assessment comic book and The Avengers movie, free with any purchase of a T-Mobile device.

The Avengers: Threat Assessment comic book is written by Christos Gage with art by Michael Ryan and Fernando Blanco. Former Marvel Cosmic Editor Bill Rosemann is overseeing the project as well.

“Featuring 10 all-new pages of awesome art, a stunning cover by Jorge Molina, plus a five-page ‘making of’ section, this digital comic is a great example of how Marvel Custom Solutions can craft stories that appeal to both existing longtime readers and the new-to-comics-from-the movies audience,” Bill Rosemann told Marvel.com.

“The intention behind the comic is for someone who had only seen the Avengers movie, and wants to know more about Thanos, to be able to read this story and come away with an understanding of the great danger he presents, and the epic battles that the Avengers have fought against him,” added Christos Gage.

Exclusively from T-Mobile, new and existing T-Mobile customers with the Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II can download a free digital copy of the AVENGERS: THREAT ASSESSMENT #1 comic book via the Marvel Comics app in the Play Store or through Marvel.com. Customers will need a redemption card to receive the download which can be found at participating T-Mobile stores. These redemption cards are available while supplies last.
