Amazon is getting deeper into the Garth Ennis business.
Amazon MGM Studios is developing a movie based on Freddie the Fix, the Hollywood horror-noir comic from the creator of The Boys and Preacher, reports Deadline.
One of Them Days director Lawrence Lamont is attached to direct.
The story follows Freddie, a fixer for Hollywood’s supernatural elite with “an almost magical gift for making incriminating things disappear,” per the outlet.

A Fixer For Hollywood’s Monsters
Freddie the Fix launched in December 2024 as the first release from Ninth Circle, the creator-owned horror imprint Ennis co-founded at Image Comics.
The oversized one-and-done volume features art by Mike Perkins. The comic sold out and drew strong reviews across the comics press.
Ennis founded Ninth Circle alongside Ram V, Marguerite Bennett, Joe Pruett and Adam Glass, with K Period Media’s Kimberly Steward as lead investor.
Freddie the Fix is the first Ninth Circle title to head to the screen.

Kenya Barris Is Producing
Steward and Alex Foster are producing the movie for K Period Media along with black-ish creator Kenya Barris for his Khalabo Ink Society.
Kalen Egan and Travis Sentell are writing the script. Ennis executive produces with Jeremy Allen, Lamont, Adam Glass, Michael Bogner and David Stone.
Lamont most recently directed the hit Sony comedy One of Them Days starring Keke Palmer.
Amazon’s comic book push also includes the Spider-Man Clone Saga series that replaced Spider-Noir.
