It’s learned that Fox is moving forward with a sequel to Josh Trank’s 2012 Chronicle film.
Deadline reports that a writer has been hired with Jack Stanley.
The first Chronicle was written by Max Landis who over some disagreement with Fox didn’t return.
Landis also previously revealed ideas for the sequel which included the origin of the powers in Chronicle as well as an idea for a found-footage Avengers-type movie.
Chronicle cost $12 million to make bringing in over $126 million worldwide.
Josh Trank is now directing the Fantastic Four movie for Fox which also stars Michael B. Jordan.
