Fantastic Four Rumored To Get New Director & Cast

Do we find this news at all surprising considering all the rumors about the Fantastic Four movie which range from a female Doctor Doom to Reed Richards and Ben Grimm working as weapons for the government? Not to mention a black Human Torch as well as a white Sue Storm?

It’s being reported by Bleeding Cool that Fox Studios has axed current director Josh Trank as well as the script from writer Simon Kinberg.

It’s also said Fox is actively seeking their replacements, and that there looks to be casting issues as well.

This is all happening right before Fantastic Four is (was?) set to begin shooting and with a June 2015 release date to boot.

Fantastic Four under Trank was (is?) set to feature Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm.

Update: Josh Trank has apparently deleted his Twitter feed. The director was known to “debunk” rumors from his Twitter account.

Update #2: Fox has officially denied the rumors.
