Fans Go Crazy Over Ben Affleck As Batman: Petition Obama To Make It Illegal

The internet has indeed exploded with the news that Ben Affleck has been cast as the new Batman.

Fans have erupted on various social networks with #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck trending #1 on Twitter for the past 18 hours.

Now the fans have started online petitions, with Cosmic Book News M.E. Byron Brewer pointing out that one has gone so far as to ask President Obama and the White House to make it illegal for Ben Affleck to portray Batman.

Variety reports more than two dozen petitions have been launched since the announcement, with some taken down by, but others already have upwards of 11,000 plus “signatures.”

The petition reads:

His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won’t do the role justice. He’s not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman. His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he’s not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else.

Ben Affleck is set to star along side Henry Cavill in the as-of-yet untitled Batman/Superman movie set for a July 17, 2015 release directed by Zack Snyder.

Recently it was learned that Affleck is participating in two hour per day work outs to achieve the necessary Batman physique, and Cosmic Book News has also been told that Warner Bros. is extremely happy with Affleck’s seriousness and dedication to the role, including the huge positive impression Ben Affleck left with them regarding Justice League.
