Our DC Entertainment source sent over an update on Batman Vs. Superman with mention of Ben Affleck’s batsuit and forthcoming movies.
Here is the info:
Batman Vs. Superman is now into full pre-production, sets are being designed and will probably begin construction next week if some of the larger ones like the Batcave haven’t already begun.
It is in Ben Affleck’s contract that he will portray Bruce Wayne / Batman in the Man of Steel follow up and then Justice League film. There is an option in his contract for Affleck to direct/write a contained Batman story set solely in Gotham without other Justice Leaguers. The source is unsure whether it would be set before or after Justice League’s story, but the key is the solo Batman flick won’t have set perimeters to stick to like a Marvel Studios film.
The batsuit from the brief look the source had at some concept art was dark grey with black cape, cowl and boots. Description by either the writers or artist at the side read: “Kevlar weaved mesh fabric. Glider cape (source believes similar to that which was used in Nolan Trilogy/Arkham games). Advanced lightweight military grade boots. Custom made cowl with intercom system.”
Zack Snyder is heavily involved in whole process of design and fabrics etc.
“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
