Warner Bros. has released two new high-res images of Evangeline Lilly and Martin Freeman for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Evngeline Lilly plays the Elf, Tauriel, with Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens December 13, 2013 directed by Peter Jackson also starring Ian McKellan, Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Richard Armitage, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Smaug as well as the Necromancer.
