Empire Magazine: Mark Strong in Sinestro and Green Lantern (2011) images

In the recent issue of Empire Magazine, not only do they have a feature on Transformers: Dark of the Moon and  X:Men: First Class  – but also the Green Lantern movie.

Mark Strong who plays Sinestro, member of the Green Lantern Corps, shared his thoughts on the character:

“Like all characters, you have to draw from within to make them realistic. People have to relate to them. It’s all about protecting the universe, but there’s also a kind of arrogance about Sinestro.”

and:

“He just cannot believe that humans have a place in the Corps. They are the weak link in the universe. So consequently when the ring passes to Hal Jordon, Sinestro cannot deal with it. By the end, Hal earns Sinestro’s grudging respect.”

Green Lantern opens June 17th, 2011 directed by Martin Campbell and stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, Mark Strong as Sinestro and Temuera Morrison as Abin Sur.
