Doctor Who: BBC To Announce New Companion Tomorrow At Press Conference

[page_title]

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:976:]]With Season 7 of Doctor Who being the last for Karen Gillen (Amy Pond), just who will be next in line to play the Doctor’s new companion?

The BBC is holding an official press conference tomorrow morning where will they announce the new actor who will co-star alongside Matt Smith.

The new companion is said to be a “she,” and very pretty, but not a household name.

The current #1 contender among Whovians seems to be Sophia Myles (right), Madame de Pompadour from the Season Two episode, “The Girl in the Fireplace.”

However, is Myles considered a “household name?” I know in the U.S. she wouldn’t be, or probably any of the new companions for that matter, but maybe she is more well known in the UK?

If I had my pick — it would be Carey Mulligan! You know — Sally Sparrows from “Blink.”

Any choices?
