Doctor Strange Movie Gets Four Rumored Names For Director

Four names have apparently surfaced to director the Doctor Strange movie, which looks to be next on the slate of Marvel Studios to develop.

It’s reported by THR that Mark Andrews, Nikolaj Arcel, Dean Israelite and Jonathan Levine are in contention to direct Doctor Strange.

Mark Andrews is known for directing the 2012 Brave animated film as well as wrote the John Carter screenplay.

Nikolaj Arcel wrote the screenplay for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and directed last year’s best foreign film Oscar-nominated entry, A Royal Affair.

Dean Israelite is directing Welcome to Yesterday for Paramount, described as a sci-fi time travel thriller.

Jonathan Levine directed Warm Bodies and 50/50.

Jon Aibel and Glenn Berger, writers of Kung Fu Panda, are said to be in the mix to write Doctor Strange.
