Robert Downey Jr. may have been teasing Doctor Doom’s Avengers: Doomsday story all along — and the alleged plot leak appears to spell it out.
As we covered at the time, Downey marked Father’s Day with what looked like a child’s drawing of Doom as a dad — the latest in his string of holiday-themed Doom posts — sparking the theory that Doom is a father in the movie, with fans speculating he has, or had, a child.
Per the leak, that theory may have nailed it.

Doctor Doom’s Motivation In The Leak
Warning: spoilers for the alleged Avengers: Doomsday leak follow.
According to the alleged full plot description — which John Campea says is “now out there” and the real thing — Doom’s plan in the movie is driven by the loss of his family, with the villain seeking to remake the Multiverse in his own image so he can resurrect them.
The leak describes Doom’s obsession with stopping the Incursions as tied directly to that loss — giving Downey’s Doom a personal, grief-driven motivation rather than simple conquest.
In other words, the Father’s Day post wasn’t a one-off gag, it looks like Downey was teasing the heart of Doom’s story months before the leak spelled it out.

The First Steps Stinger Lines Up
The leak also aligns with what Marvel has already shown on screen: the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps featured Doom introducing himself to young Franklin Richards while Sue watches on.
Per the leak, Doom visits Sue and Franklin early in Doomsday, and the two clearly already know each other, picking up right where the stinger left off. Much like the December teaser wave matching the document’s beats, the stinger now reads like corroboration.
As always, Marvel Studios has not commented on the leak, so treat the details as rumor. The Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday, starring Downey as Doctor Doom, hits theaters December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars in December 2027.
