Disney and Netflix have signed an expansive new licensing agreement that sends a wave of Disney movies and shows to its biggest streaming rival, Variety reports.
The first batch lands October 4, when all five Ice Age movies and the first two seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians hit Netflix worldwide.
Nothing is leaving Disney’s own services. Every title in the deal also stays on Disney+ and Hulu.
What’s Coming To Netflix And When
The Ice Age movies and Percy Jackson are both on three-month promotional windows.
Disney is using Netflix’s 325 million subscribers to pump up Ice Age: Boiling Point, which opens in theaters on February 5, 2027, and Percy Jackson Season 3, which premieres November 20 on Disney+.
Felicity, the Keri Russell series, hits Netflix in the U.S. on October 7.
Will Trent Seasons 1-4 arrive globally on November 3, ahead of the Season 5 premiere on ABC in early 2027.
Shifting Gears Seasons 1-2 land December 1 in the U.S. and in January overseas, ahead of Season 3 on ABC.
Tracker Seasons 1-3 head to Netflix internationally outside the U.S. on February 26, 2027. Season 4 premieres October 4 on CBS.
Starting in early 2027, Pixar’s Soul and Elio stream on Netflix globally, along with Raya and the Last Dragon and more Disney Animation and Pixar movies, with titles and dates varying by region.
Library series Revenge and Army Wives go global, Fresh Off the Boat hits the U.S. and select regions, and This Is Us streams internationally outside the U.S.
They join Grey’s Anatomy, Arrested Development, Scandal, and Black-ish, which Disney already licenses to Netflix.

Insider: ‘Disney Can’t Afford To Keep Spending Billions’
The deal lands in the same week as a Wall Street Journal report that Disney is planning a TV restructuring expected to cut hundreds of jobs.
A Paramount insider tells Cosmic Book News both stories trace back to the Paramount-WBD merger, which closes October 6, and predicts “Disney+ will die soon. Maybe become a tab under Hulu.”
“Disney can’t afford to keep spending billions on streaming shows that nobody is watching. That’s my take on it,” says the insider.
The library deal shows the other side of that math. Variety notes the agreement brings Disney millions in incremental revenue while promoting its upcoming releases.
Disney+ keeps the titles. Netflix writes the checks. And on October 4, the Ice Age movies start streaming for the competition.
